Light blue floral shorts featured in the Trama Afetiva fashion show, in collaboration with Seu Maraca. The prints draw on the folk culture of Pernambuco, with patches of blue sequined fabric.

Material: reclaimed umbrella fabrics with sequin embellishments.
Fit: unisex.

The umbrellas we use are recovered by waste management cooperatives before they reach public landfills. The fabric is removed from the frames, washed and sanitized before arriving at the Trama Afetiva studio, where it is selected, combined and cut according to the designs and patterns created by fashion director Thais Losso. The pieces are sewn by a group of women who work with Trama Afetiva, supplementing their families’ income through upcycling and giving discarded materials a new purpose.
