Light blue floral shorts shown on the Trama Afetiva runway, created in collaboration with Seu Maraca. The prints feature elements of Pernambuco’s folk culture, with blue sequin fabric patches.

Umbrellas are recovered by waste collection cooperatives before they reach landfills. The fabrics are removed from their frames, washed and sanitized before arriving at the Trama Afetiva studio, where they are selected, combined and cut according to the designs and patterns created by fashion director Thais Losso. The cut pieces are then sewn by a group of women partners who supplement their families’ income through Trama Afetiva’s upcycling and creative reuse of materials.
